You are more perceptive than you think

Someone wanted to be out there in the streets. They thought you was gonna be so head over heels in love that no matter they did you would just keep on being forgiving and letting them back into your life. They shoved others in your face, bragged about how they never did for you, demeaned and bullied you and they have the nerve to be mad that you want nothing to do with them. You was supposed to be the ride or die. You was supposed to be crying, weeping and begging for the crumbs of their attention. You was supposed to be weak, permissive and loyal. Now they see you as a liar. You can't just walk away unless you never cared. You never really cared because you can't put real emotions aside the way you are doing so easily. They are literally having withdrawals without axcess to your energy. Some maybe sick, some might be experiencing mental breakdowns just really emotionally imbalanced. Which is exactly what they wanted for you to experience. All the pain you experienced in this connection they are feeling double in your absence. Even if this was a job your superior is realizing they singled you out due to rumours and their own insecurities and they owe you a apology plus some bonus type of incentive to prove they mean it. You are teaching yourself to trust your intuition and follow your gut. So when they come back you will be able to forgive and accept them back in your life or forgive and rebuff them. Don't trip if you turn them away that is what some of them are meant to experience.
