Ophiuchus

Ophiuchus is a large constellation in the northern sky that's visible in both hemispheres. It's often depicted as a man holding a snake, and is also known as the Serpent Bearer. Asclepius Ophiuchus is associated with Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. In myth, Zeus struck Asclepius down with lightning and placed him in the sky as Ophiuchus. Serpent Ophiuchus' name comes from the Ancient Greek word ophioukhos, which means "serpent-bearer". The constellation Serpens represents the snake. Ophiuchus has over 60 stars, including Alpha Ophiuchi, Epsilon Ophiuchi, and Delta Ophiuchi.The constellation is located in the equatorial region, between the constellations of Scutum and Hercules. The Sun, Moon, and planets can sometimes be seen in Ophiuchus. 
What's the myth behind Ophiuchus? In one version of the myth, Asclepius learned how to heal from a serpent that brought healing herbs to another injured snake. Zeus struck down Asclepius with lightning because he was concerned that Asclepius' healing abilities would make humans immortal. Zeus placed Asclepius' image in the sky to honor his gift and good deeds.
